When to Stop Therapy and Continue at Home
Therapy helps children grow and improve, but when is the right time to stop going to a therapy center? You can use the 5-finger model to check if your child is ready! But remember—never stop practicing at home, or progress might slow down.

The 5 Key Areas to Check
1️⃣ Behavior – Has your child’s behavior improved? Are they calmer, more understanding, and better at following rules?
2️⃣ Language & Communication – Can they hold conversations, make friends, and express themselves clearly? Are they using full sentences?
3️⃣ Life Skills – Can they manage daily activities like dressing up, eating, and personal hygiene? Are they able to handle small outdoor tasks like buying groceries and understanding money?
4️⃣ Social Skills – Can they talk to people independently? Can they interact with helpers, neighbors, and relatives without extra support?
5️⃣ Academics – Are they able to do schoolwork in subjects like Math, English, and Science at their level without much help?
What Next?
If your child is doing well in all five areas, you can stop therapy sessions and continue practicing at home. But remember—never stop working on these skills! Play therapy is a great way to keep developing these abilities while having fun.
🏡 Keep practicing, keep growing! 🚀
